It’s hard to write a decent biography and not sound like a tool, but here goes: my name is Grant Anderson, and I’m a designer in my early/mid twenties. I say designer because, while my occupation implies “graphic” designer, my personal interests imply designer in the broadest sense of the word: someone who designs, or creates. I enjoy all forms of computer art (2D/3D/video/animation/web), as well as most traditional art form (painting/sculpture/drawing/photography).
Living and working a creative life can be taxing, but the truth is I’m very pleased to be getting paid for something I would most likely do for free. Granted, the struggle between work and play is something everybody can relate to, but the line seems especially blurred for the artistically-inclined. I’ve spent less and less time lately on my own endeavors, but this site is the beginning of what I hope to be a personal renaissance of sorts.
I plan on using this site, version 4.0, as motivation on really getting back to one of the few things I know I like: making art.
